** SOLID GROUND Celebrates Their FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY **

On February, 25, 2007, two former members of the Sacramento area southern gospel trio “4 His Love” stepped on stage as a new group with the name “SOLID GROUND”. Jeff Johnson and Tim Wilhelm believed that God’s call on their lives to sing southern gospel music was not over when the owner/manager of “4 His Love” decided to relocate to the midwest. Jeff, who sings tenor and is the owner/manager of Solid Ground, together with Tim who sang baritone, recruited Brian Besser as the new lead singer. SOLID GROUND has become a well known southern gospel trio throughout California and the west. SOLID GROUND’s fan base has continually grown since its debut, and has been welcomed into the southern gospel family by not only regional groups, but by national touring groups as well.
A lot has happened in the past five years. There are new faces in the lineup, Randy Wold who sings lead, and Seth Weiss, who sings baritone, four CD projects have been released, and opportunities to sing outside of California, both east and west have been realized. SOLID GROUND remains committed to being ministers of the Gospel of Christ in song and word, to the many styles of southern gospel music from traditional to contemporary, and a sound that is unaltered: meaning, what we sing is what you hear. Or put another way, live is LIVE!
We could not be who we are or where we are without the support of faithful fans. Both your prayers and financial giving has allowed us to grow and step out where we feel God is leading us. You are a part of our success and we cannot say ‘Thank You!’ enough. God’s Word and your support is theSOLID GROUND that we stand on.
