RANDY WOLD - LEAD

       I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA where I still reside with my wife Nancy.  I had the blessing of being raised in a Christian home.  I was saved at the age of nine, and have been serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ever since.

      According to my parents, I had a love for music from a young age.  I started playing the trumpet in the fourth grade.  By the time I finished college, my primary instruments were the trumpet and french horn. 

      My singing career began while I was a sophomore in high school when I was asked to try out for a principle part in a Broadway musical.  After experiencing success with the musical, I sang in high school choirs and churches I attended.  This experience led to the opportunity to be the music director of a small church I was attending, and later an internship in the music department of another church.  I've always enjoyed being a member of the choir while having the opportunity to solo on Sundays, in major musical productions, and special events.

      As a child, I remember Southern Gospel quartets that would tour through the area.  Around 2007, I was re-introduced to this great music.  In July 2009, the opportunity arose to join SOLID GROUND as the permanent lead singer.  I truly love the experience, and will continue to sing for the Lord as long as He allows.  He could have not given me two better friends to share the stage and minister in song with.

      Each singing experience has given me the opportunity to meet other brothers and sisters of God's family, something that has truly been a blessing and given a fresh excitement to every event.  My prayer is that blessing and excitement never fades.  I look forward to meeting followers of Southern Gospel music as we gather to worship our Redeemer and Savior Jesus Christ through song.
