SETH WEISS - BARITONE
I was born in Santa Monica, CA. I lived at the old Sunlight Mission, a Christian homeless center, where my parents were in ministry with my Great Uncle. It was there I accepted Christ as my Savior and where I began singing for Him. I sang "Oh Happy Day" as my first solo at the age of 3.
When I was 7 years old, we moved to Orange County. My father was on Pastoral staff at Melodyland Christian Center in Anaheim. This is where my musical skills began to grow as I performed in several of Melodyland's well-known musical productions. I learned to play guitar, clarinet, and piano, but singing is what seemed to fit me best.
After graduating from high school, I attended Fullerton College. I received classical training and sang in the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and their award winning Vocal Jazz Ensemble. While in college, I received several professional opportunities to do studio singing for commercial jingles, pre-recorded shows, and background vocals for other artists. It was at this time I realized my calling was to sing for Christ. I was asked to sing a solo for the premiere of In the Gardens, a musical cantata written by Bill and Gloria Gaither. Not long after, I sang baritone for The Watchmen for six years until I moved to Sacramento.
I am so grateful to be a part of SOLID GROUND. My burning desire is to be a blessing and make an impact for Christ on the people I come in contact with on a daily basis.
